THE STUDIO

Acquired Taste Productions operates out of Edinburgh College's Music Box Recording Studio. With an attractive large, well treated live room and adjoining isolation booth the centrepiece of the studio control room is the Audient ASP 8024 recording console. Below is just a small sample of the equipment we use. Get in touch for a complete list. 

MIXING CONSOLE

  • The centrepiece of the studio is an Audient ASP 8024 backed up by Avid HD I/O converters, ProTools Ultimate and an M1 Mac Pro.

MICROPHONES

  • A wide ranging collection of dynamic, condenser, ribbon and tube microphones including Neumann, Schoeps, AKG, Sennheiser, Beyer Dynamic, Warm Audio, Aston and more.

MONITORING

Main monitors are a pair of Genelec 8050a with Yamaha NS10s on reference monitor duties.

Studio monitoring and hearback is provided by Hear Technologies Hearback Hub for personal mixes in the studio.
